Spanish Sardine Toast with Heirloom Tomatoes

Delicious snack, healthy light meal, or unique appetizer? Yes! On the go or enjoying it slow, these Mediterranean bites will give your taste buds just the kick they’re looking for.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can King Oscar Skinless & Boneless Sardines Spanish Style, reserve oil
  • 1/2 toasted baguette, sliced lengthwise
  • 2 heirloom tomatoes, sliced
  • Sliced green pitted olives
  • Sliced red onion
  • Fresh basil and dill leaves

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO...

  1. Slice toasted baguette into 2” to 3” pieces.
  2. Lay tomatoes slices over toast and top with herbs, olives, sardines, and onion.
  3. Drizzle with reserved oil.

ROYAL HINTS

For extra richness, smear baguette slices with goat cheese before layering.
