Fried Sardine Street Tacos

Mexican street tacos meet Norwegian brisling sardines! This is all the great flavor of street food, plus all the convenience of tinned fish and a great source of protein!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can King Oscar Sardines in Water, drained
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 6 corn tortillas, street size or 4” tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • Toppings & garnishes: cheese, radishes, sliced chili peppers, red onion, cilantro, salsa, lime

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO...

  1. Heat pan on medium-high heat and add oil.
  2. Gently separate sardines and fry both sides in oil.
  3. Warm tortillas on pan or microwave and top with cabbage then layer on sardines.
  4. Add toppings and garnishes.
  5. Serve with salsa and lime wedges.
